About Nexie
Applying for jobs can feel like a lottery. Whether you get the job often depends less on your talent and more on how well you can sell yourself. Which is a shame, because there are so many smart, kind, and capable people out there who just miss the mark when it comes to presenting themselves at the right moment.
We, Lorenzo and Maureen, help you with exactly that. We’re not into vague advice, we won’t sell you fluff, and we won’t charge you a fortune either.
What we do offer: a personal and practical approach to help you step into the application process with more confidence, more clarity, and a story that holds up. From your motivation to your first impression, from interview skills to negotiation; we’ll help you make sure you don’t miss out just because “selling yourself” isn’t your thing.
Our promise: Not happy after the first session? No worries, you’ll only pay for that session and get the rest of your money back. If you booked a single session, you’ll get 50% refunded.
Nexie is honest, direct, a little bit rebellious, and always on your side.
About Lorenzo
After nearly eight years in recruitment, including at Developers.nl, Coolblue and KLM, I know how the application process works. And I’ve seen how often people drop out or stumble, not because they’re not qualified, but because they struggle to present themselves well.
That just doesn’t feel fair. Your skills should take the lead, not how well you handle an interview. You can’t control the hiring process, but you can get better at navigating it. And that’s where we come in.
I’m not a guru who tells you what you should do, but I am someone who listens, thinks along with you, and gives you a nudge when you need it. Kind of like a personal trainer, but for job applications.
People describe me as honest, engaged, social, and someone who keeps a cool head when things get messy. And when I’m not coaching? You’ll probably find me at the gym, deep into a game of FIFA, or playing a fierce round of chess against friends.
With years of experience as a coaching manager and a period working in HR, I know better than anyone what it is like to sit on both sides of the table as part of the organization and as a candidate. I understand how nerve-wracking an interview can be and how important it is to feel at ease in such a conversation.
By asking the right questions, I quickly get a sense of what someone needs. I will not tell you exactly what to do, but I will give you clear direction with empathy and a healthy dose of humor.
And when I am not working? You will find me walking in nature or completely absorbed in a Disney movie with my cat on my lap.
